About

Future Tracks is a programme aimed at young people who are not, or only partially, participating in mainstream education. This outdoor and experiential education programme works to develop interpersonal and intrapersonal skills alongside professional qualifications.

Our experienced team of outdoor instructors, development workers and facilitators will support young people over an extended period of time (months and sometimes years). We provide mentorship, education and skills development through a bespoke outdoor and experiential programme that is unique to each individual’s requirements.

Future Tracks

Our Future Tracks programme has seen a great deal of success in engaging with young people not / or only partially participating in traditional education. We, over an extended period of time, work to support young people to develop personal and professional skills through outdoor and adventurous experiences.

The Future Tracks Programme will utilise Outdoor Education methodologies to develop participants’ intrapersonal skills (e.g. confidence, independence, resilience, reliability, and creativity) and interpersonal skills (e.g. communication, empathy, teamwork, and leadership). These attributes will be cultivated through personalised sessions and residential experiences that will challenge, engage, and mould participants.

The aim of the personal and social development aspect of The Future Tracks project is to establish a strong foundation on which subsequent experiences and mentorship can be based. Each course is bespoke and designed around the needs of the young person. We feel strongly that this course is voluntary for each young person and they get out of it as much as they are willing to commit into.

Some of the activities we undertake are:- Canoeing, Kayaking, Paddle Boarding, Coasteering, Canyoning, Gorge walking, Indoor climbing, Outdoor climbing, Cycling, Mountain Biking, Walking, First Aid Training, and Camping Expeditions.
