What’s your adventure going to be? #Myadventureis

I am all about outdoors adventures. If it’s warm I love jumping into the water be that Canyoning or Coasteering. If the weather is cold I prefer to canoe, walk, climb and of course sledging. Being in the outdoors keeps me fit and brings me closer to friends and family. The outdoors for me gets me away from technology.

My role in MY Adventure as manager is to create jobs for our trainees and provide a safe, fun, educational space for all that adventure with us.

When not working you will find me either on an adventure with my team (growing my skills) or spending time with my family. Having 3 boys from four to twelve years old I have my hands full! Both in and out of work life is an adventure.

My favourite activity as an instructor is guiding our customers on classic mountain and sea cliff routes like the Old Man of Hoy or Stoer, the north face of the Ben or the Skye Cuillin. I enjoy being part of making their climbing ambitions a reality!

In my role as Operations Coordinator, I help orchestrate the activity programme, create development opportunities for the staff team and organise the safety management system. No day is the same!

When not at MY Adventure I’m to be found with my family and super spaniel Hector, riding my road bike in an attempt to stay fit or out with friends climbing somewhere wild and remote

Favourite my adventure activity: canyoning because I’m a bit of a fish and love the water; sliding jumping and abseiling gets adrenaline pumping and it’s just as fun as a water park but a tad colder.

Main role at my adventure is helping to make sure our projects run smoothly delivering adventure activities training to new aspiring guides and introducing some teens to fun activities.

When I’m not at work you’ll find me doing the same stuff I do at work playing football or binge watching Netflix.

My favourite activities are canyoning and mountain biking.

At My Adventure my job is anything and everything related to groups. I run activities, check and maintain equipment. in short making sure everyone I work with gets the best experience they can.

Outside work you will find me outside. Again! The outdoors for me is more than a job. It’s a lifestyle. My motto is too many adventures and not enough time.

At My Adventure my role is all things communications. A journalist by trade, I do a lot of writing, from flyers and website updates to blogs and press releases.

My favourite activity has to be supporting the team (annoying them) to write blogs. When I get out the office I enjoy archery and canoeing.

Outside work you will find me toddler wrangling, listening to Spotify or outside taking photos.

I am the finance and admin officer at My Adventure, so I deal with quite a lot of spreadsheets, invoices and payments

While the dream team is out leading adventures I make sure HQ is running smoothly.

When I am not at work keeping things in efficient working order, you will find me in the gym or having fun with my grandchildren

What is a Social Enterprise?

Social enterprises are businesses that trade to tackle social problems, improve communities, people’s life chances, or the environment. They make their money from selling goods and services in the open market, but they reinvest their profits back into the business or the local community. And so when they profit, society profits.
